Feb 29, 2008: EDIT: Changed file to a higher quality. Should look better now.
The joy of creating fractals... ~
I took a long break after making fractals, and I do not make them as much as, say, 6 months ago. I opened Apophysis last night, and looked through the random batch... I saw one, looking quite ordinary; until, for some reason I forgot, I changed one triangle's weights, and out came a splendid image... which I edited for sometime.
One of the final results is this one, named "Musical Windows" - I don't really know why my mind associates this design with music. Windows is one word that popped up after I decided on the word "Musical" - maybe I thought of the game "Musical Chairs" and then my brain went into randomness mode?
Lesson I learnt: A fractal might not look good straight from the random batch, it might not look as good when you move/edit the triangles around, but sometimes changing the often-overlooked properties such as the gradient and the weights might sometimes let you see through the front impression to see the hidden layer.
Thanks goes to my sources of inspiration and motivation - *Naryu, and all of you who commented or faved. It certainly goes a long way.
-- As usual, request for parameters of fractals is open, and - if you want a higher resolution, or in PNG format, or a higher quality render, ask and you will receive.
Made in Apophysis 2.07 beta. Image isn't at full size even when full-viewed so that it doesn't extend over the browser window's boundary. Use the Download link on the left toolbar for an even bigger view.
